Carbon 101 Workshop - Turning Carbon Reduction into Business Opportunity

Join Partners in Project Green for this one-day interactive workshop to help your business develop a greenhouse gas (GHG) baseline and reduction strategy. This workshop will provide your company with the know-how to develop a GHG baseline and reduction strategy, by providing a simple and systematic process for collecting your data and identifying ways to reduce your costs and GHG emissions. The workshop will:

* Combine real time energy data from your facility with interactive tools to help you start to understand and establish your GHG baseline

* Provide an overview of GHG management strategies, protocols, reporting standards, and enterprise carbon management (ECM) tools

 * Help you create your personalized GHG reduction strategy

The completion of a GHG reduction strategy for your company will not only help you reduce your costs, but help your business realize the opportunities from a low-carbon economy, including meeting the demands of customers and shareholders, reducing your exposure to regulatory risks, identifying new ways to do business, and receiving recognition for your achievements. In order to utilized real time energy data from your facility,  1 year (12 months) of activity data for natural gas use (in cubic meters) and for electricity use (in kWh) is required. This information can easily be obtained from your utility bills, or directly from your utility provider. This will allow you to begin mapping your GHG emissions and identify reduction opportunities immediately. If this data is unavailable, you will be provided with generic data to demonstrate how to calculate your GHG baseline.
