Call for Case Studies
As part of the growing interest in the new Best Management Practices (BMP) for Excess Soil Management in Ontario (released by the MOE in January 2014), ONEIA’s Brownfield Advocacy Sub-Committee has formed a Working Group that brings our members and the Ministry together to assist with implementation.
The working group is comprised of members of the Brownfield Advocacy Sub-committee but focuses on the BMP for Management of Excess Soils in Ontario. Following the highly successful roundtable discussion with the MOE at ONEIA’s April 23 Business and Policy Forum, a general search for case studies employing the BMPs is now underway.
If you have a current project, or anticipate a future project that will employ the BMP, we want to hear about it. Please let Marjan Lahuis (firstname.lastname@example.org
) in the ONEIA offices know if you have any information on projects that could be shared with the industry and the MOE.
We are always looking for further representation from ONEIA’s membership on our advocacy committees and sub-committees. If you are interested in having a voice in the industry, please let Marjan
know and she will put you in touch with the Committee Chairs.
